It seems like these days, there are new area codes being added each day. The main reason that area codes have been being added at such a quick pace is that we love to talk. With every new cell phone sold a new number must be given out. As such, the old area codes we were used to are slowly multiplying. San Diego for example used to have just one area code, 619. As the years passed and the city got bigger,more numbers were needed so now area codes 858, 619 and 760 are in effect. To make things easy and these pages load quickly, the area codes are spilt up by the first number. Each area code description will include the state and the local area covered by that area code.
