offers as they are very perishable and most do not last long

offers:
Searching your wallet can turn
up some unexpected free travel opportunities. Many credit cards,
and I am not talking about affinity cards here just the plain
ones, have some very interesting offers associated with them.
can offer you a free companion in business or first class if
you are a platinum member. Their Rewards Plus card, my choice,
offers a 50% bonus when used to purchase travel services from
their travel partners. I also carry the Diner's Club International
card but use it primarily for international travel as it allows
club privileges at airports around the world. International
travel dictates you be prudent and arrive a couple hours before
your flight. Since I have no problems with check in and immigration,
I usually have an hour or more to kill so it is off to the
club courtesy of Diner's Club, Visa, Mastercard, Discover also
have specials and free incentives for using their cards for
travel. My suggestion is to bookmark your particular card or
cards and check often for offers. More information for travelers
Don't over look some of the
other cards in your wallet... AAA Member? AARP? Costco? Sams?
Credit Union? Retired Officer's Association? Benevolent Brotherhood
of Buffalo? (Had to throw that one in. Who knows, it may exist!)?
In Any case, these affiliations and ones like them can save
you money in your travels. I have more than paid for my annual
AAA and AARP memberships just from the discounts they give.
You can save even more by clipping the coupons that accompany
their newsletters and magazines. All of these can substantially
reduce your travel costs and generally offer lower rates and
